Merzmensch – Flying Booksellers 03
He carries the burden of forgotten stories – and none of them belong to him.
In Flying Booksellers 03, Merzmensch distills the tragic absurdity of knowledge into a strangely poetic figure: a man swallowed by his own cargo. Surrounded by towering stacks of books on a busy street corner, he stands motionless—part sculpture, part relic, part warning.
As always in the NeoreAIlism series, reality is staged and reinterpreted through the lens of artificial memory. This is not a document, but a hallucinated archive of what once was—or could have been—true.
A reflection on overload, quiet endurance and the melancholic dignity of those who literally carry culture on their backs.
