A cowboy, his back to the viewer, sits alone in front of a bar full of bottles. No Western duel, no open prairie, just wood, glass, and the deceptive warmth of alcohol. The icon of American masculinity, once a Marlboro myth and advertising idol, appears broken here—a hero who conquers nothing more than the emptiness in the glass.

Clint Enns strips the cowboy figure of its romantic aura, presenting him as a relic of a nation that has squandered its myths. Behind the pose of the "lonesome rider" lurks history: the theft of the land from the indigenous people, the glorification of violence and loneliness as the ideal of freedom.

The cowboy keeps his back to the camera – as if he knows that there is no place for him except at the bar, waiting to be forgotten.
