Clint Enns – Twins # II
Two women in identical underwear, entwined as if they were a single body. They stand in a room that is itself full of duplications: floral bedding, patterned curtains, reflections in the furniture frames. Everything seems arranged, yet at the same time casual – a moment between intimacy and staging.
"Twins # II" unfolds the ambivalence of closeness. The touch is tender yet tense, the gaze serious, almost challenging. Eroticism tips into discomfort, familiarity into strangeness. As in "Twins # I," Enns demonstrates the power of repetition: the same face doubles and becomes strange.
The image oscillates between a domestic scene and a surreal tableau. It speaks of identity as a construction—a play of reflections, desire, and distance. A familiar room becomes a stage for the question: Who am I when the other is so similar to me that it's impossible to believe I am?
